Morentix Helm (On our roadmap)
Morentix Helm is our governed agentic platform: specialist AI agents do the work, and a person approves every decision that matters through Helm Gates. We’re not offering it to clients yet.
How Helm is designed to govern AI agents
Helm Gates lead the design: AI agents do the work, and a person approves every decision that matters. Every other part is designed to work inside them.
Helm Gates
Helm is designed around human approval. It will stop for a person before work starts and again before anything is delivered, and any high-risk action in a plan will wait for a person too. Proposed improvements to how it works will never be applied without approval. Every decision and approval will be recorded, with who decided and when.
What this means for you:
- Nothing will start on your work until a person has approved the plan.
- Nothing will reach you, or your customers, without a person’s approval.
- You will be able to see who approved what, and when.
Helm Agents
Helm Agents are designed to be specialists for planning, building, reviewing and validating work, each with a defined job. They will work inside the limits of an approved plan and stop at each gate for a person. An agent will not approve its own work: review and validation are separate jobs. Who does what will be set out in the plan before work starts.
What this means for you:
- Each piece of work will be done by an agent with one clear job.
- Work will be checked by a different agent from the one that produced it.
- A person will still approve the plan and the result.
Helm Memory
Helm Memory is designed to keep what each engagement teaches: what worked, what to avoid and what a client prefers. Lessons will be scored for quality, and weak ones will go to a person for review instead of being kept automatically. Planning will draw on that memory, so each project can start from what earlier ones learned. A client’s memory will stay inside that client’s own deployment.
What this means for you:
- Later projects will start from what earlier ones learned.
- Lessons will be reviewed before they are kept.
- Your knowledge will stay in your deployment, never shared with another client.
Helm Context
Planned: Helm Context is a way to give each agent the right company and client knowledge for its task, and only that. It will assemble what an agent is told from your documents, your rules and the task in hand. It is also designed to control what each agent is allowed to see. Anything arriving from outside tools will be translated into the same format before an agent sees it.
What this means for you:
- Agents will work from your own knowledge rather than guesses.
- Each agent will see only what its task needs.
- Your rules will travel with every task.
Connections
Planned: Helm is designed to connect to your tools through OAuth and MCP. You will authorise each connection in your own browser, and credentials will stay in your own deployment. Every action that writes, sends or spends will wait for a person’s approval first. Reading from a tool and acting in it will be treated differently.
What this means for you:
- Agents will be able to work with the tools you already use.
- Nothing will be sent, changed or paid without a person’s approval.
- Your credentials will stay with you.
Works across AI providers
Helm is designed to work across many AI model providers, including open-weight models, so no single vendor is load-bearing. Each task will be able to use the model that suits it, by quality, cost or where its data may go. Sensitive work will be able to stay on models that run privately. If a provider changes its terms, the work will be able to move to another.
What this means for you:
- You will not be tied to one AI vendor.
- Each task will be able to use the model that suits it best.
- Sensitive data will be able to stay on models that run privately.
Deployment
Each client will get its own isolated deployment of Helm, never shared with another client. This is a fixed design decision.
How it will be offered
Helm is not available yet. When it is, it will be offered in two ways.
- A full deployment
- Helm set up for your business alone, with its agents, gates and memory working on your projects. It would run in its own isolated deployment, connected to the tools you choose.
- Rented Helm Agents and workflows
- Individual Helm Agents or workflows for one specific job, without a full deployment. You would choose the job, and a person would still approve what matters.
Follow one request through Helm
Pick a step to see what happens there, who is involved, what a person approves and which parts of Helm are at work.
An illustration of the design, not a record of a real run. Pick a step to read it.
- 1. Intake (You): Your goal, limits and documents
- What happens: A request will come in with its goal, its limits and the documents that matter. Nothing starts yet. Who is involved: The person making the request, and a planning agent that reads it. What the person approves: Nothing yet. The first approval comes at the plan gate. What is recorded: The request as it was submitted, and who submitted it. In the Helm design at this step: Helm Context (Planned): Each agent will be given your documents, your rules and the task, and only what that task needs. Connections (Planned): Files and data will be able to come from tools you connect, authorised in your own browser. Example record (New request): Goal: A customer portal for order status; Limits: No mobile app in this request; Attached: Current order spreadsheet; Requested by: Your operations lead.
- 2. Plan (Agents): Steps, risks and what done means
- What happens: A planning agent will draft a plan: the steps, the risks, what is out of scope and what done means. Who is involved: A planning agent, drawing on knowledge kept from earlier work. What the person approves: Nothing at this step. The plan waits for a person at the next one. What is recorded: The draft plan, and the knowledge it drew on. In the Helm design at this step: Helm Memory (In the design): The plan will draw on lessons from earlier work, each one scored for quality before it was kept. Helm Gates (In the design): Any action the plan marks as high-risk will wait for its own approval. Example record (Scoped plan): Steps: Sign-in, order status, invoices; Risks: Some orders have missing dates; Not included: Mobile app; Done when: Tested with real orders.
- 3. Gate (A person): A person approves the plan
- What happens: Work stops here until a person has read the plan and decided. Who is involved: A named person: you, or someone you nominate. What the person approves: The plan, its scope and its risks. They approve it, or send it back with changes. What is recorded: Who decided, when, and the plan exactly as it stood when they approved it. In the Helm design at this step: Helm Gates (In the design): No work will start until a person has approved the plan. Audit trail (In the design): The decision will be logged with who approved, when, and what they saw. Example record (Plan approval): Plan: Customer portal; Approver: Your operations lead.
- 4. Build (Agents): Work inside the approved plan
- What happens: Specialist agents will do the work the approved plan describes, and nothing outside it. Who is involved: Building agents, each with a defined job. What the person approves: Nothing new. The work stays inside the approved plan; anything outside it goes back to a person. What is recorded: What was produced at each step, against the plan. In the Helm design at this step: Helm Agents (In the design): Specialist agents for each kind of work, inside the limits of the approved plan. AI providers (In the design): Each task will be able to use a suitable model, including open-weight models for sensitive work. Connections (Planned): Anything that writes, sends or spends in your tools will wait for a person. Example record (Work log): Sign-in screens: Produced; Order status page: Produced; Invoice downloads: In progress; Outside the plan: Nothing.
- 5. Review (Agents): Checked against the plan and tests
- What happens: Reviewing and validating agents will check the work against the plan and its tests. Who is involved: Reviewing and validating agents. What the person approves: Nothing yet. The review prepares what the person sees at the next gate. What is recorded: Every check, and whether it passed. In the Helm design at this step: Helm Agents (In the design): Reviewing and validating agents will be separate from the agents that produced the work. Helm Gates (In the design): The review results are what the approver will see at the next gate. Example record (Review checklist): Matches the plan: Passed; Tests: Passed; Nothing outside scope: Passed; Open question: Invoice file format.
- 6. Gate (A person): A person approves the result
- What happens: Nothing leaves until a person approves the result. Who is involved: A named person, with the review results in front of them. What the person approves: The finished work, before it is delivered or released. What is recorded: The approval, the person, the time and the exact version they approved. In the Helm design at this step: Helm Gates (In the design): Nothing will be released or delivered until a person approves the result. Audit trail (In the design): The approval will be kept with the exact version that was approved. Example record (Delivery approval): Work: Customer portal, first version; Review: All checks passed, one question answered.
- 7. Deliver (You): Handover with the full record
- What happens: The approved work will be handed over, with a record of every decision and approval along the way. Who is involved: The person who made the request receives it. What the person approves: Nothing further here. Any proposed improvement to how the work was done will wait for its own approval. What is recorded: A handover record, and the lessons kept for the next engagement. In the Helm design at this step: Helm Memory (In the design): Lessons from the work will be scored; weak ones will go to a person for review instead of being kept. Helm Gates (In the design): Proposed improvements to how Helm works will never be applied without approval. Your deployment (In the design): The record and the lessons will stay in your own isolated deployment. Example record (Handover record): Delivered: Customer portal; Decisions: Plan and delivery approvals, with names; Kept for next time: What worked, what to avoid.
